Historically, heat was primarily discharged through water or air cooling systems, resulting in energy waste and increased cooling water consumption and wastewater treatment costs. With rising energy prices and stricter environmental regulations, efficiently recovering this 'hidden energy' has become a key focus for PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
In recent years, a series of advanced waste heat recovery technologies for PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR iron removal systems have emerged. Taking waste heat as an example, while the traditional water quenching method offers rapid cooling, it barely recovers energy. The new dry granulation PTMS technology employs high-speed airflow to quench molten materials, simultaneously recovering sensible heat from high-temperature gases through heat exchangers. The generated medium-pressure steam is then used to drive power generation or supply other systems within the facility.
In flue gas waste heat recovery, the low-temperature organic cycle technology of PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR is gaining prominence. A steel plant has developed a modular system for sintering tail gas, utilizing silicone oil as the working fluid. The system achieves thermoelectric conversion at around 300°C, with a net efficiency exceeding 12%.
