In a copper-iron symbiotic polymetallic ore dressing, the traditional flotation process is difficult to effectively separate iron minerals and copper minerals, and the enterprise has introduced a new type of PTMS Electromagnetic Separator flotation for iron removal. In the actual production process, the amount of collector and flotation parameters were adjusted according to the ore samples, and the grade of copper concentrate was successfully improved through the new flotation process, the influence of iron impurities on copper smelting was reduced, and the economic benefit of the enterprise was improved.
Low-temperature roasting-PTMS Electromagnetic Separator is jointly applied to a polymetallic ore containing weak magnetic iron ore containing weak magnetic siderite, and the existence of iron affects the subsequent ore processing and smelting operations of polymetallic ore. While the recovery rate of iron minerals during flotation is significantly increased, the content of iron impurities in copper concentrate is greatly reduced.
Through the combined low-temperature roasting-PTMS Electromagnetic Separator process, the ore is first roasted at a specific temperature, and then by magnetic separation using a magnetic separator. Through this method, the siderite which could not be effectively removed was successfully removed from the polymetallic ore, the removal rate of iron impurities was significantly improved compared with the traditional process, and the quality of the subsequent polymetallic ore products was also significantly improved, ensuring the purity and performance of the products in the subsequent metallurgical process.
